Sheila Tsang
Sheila graduated from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with First Class Honours in 1993. She has been practicing at Vedelago Optometrists since 1995, working alongside Lesley Vedelago who retired in 2020.
Sheila developed a keen interest in children’s vision development since graduation and has pursued further studies in this area. In 1996, she completed a post graduate Masters of Optometry course in Behavioural Optometry from the University of New South Wales. In 2001, she was awarded Fellowship of the Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists (ACBO). Since gaining her ACBO fellowship, she served as a member on the ACBO fellowship examination board for a number of years.
In 2010, Sheila completed a Graduate Certificate degree in Ocular Therapeutics from QUT and is qualified to prescribe ophthalmic drugs for the treatment of certain eye conditions. She has been a Credentialed Optometrist for CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority), qualified to carry out aviation eye examination for pilots since 2011.
Sheila enjoys the challenge of seeing a diverse range of patients who visit our practice – ranging
from new born babies to elderly patients. It is rewarding to see those patients who have grown up and now bringing their own children for eye tests. Vedelago Optometrists invests in the latest diagnostic equipment and as such, Sheila is always updating her knowledge in order to provide the best eye care to all her patients.
Outside of work, Sheila enjoys pursuing creative hobbies, reading, spending time with family and friends and looking out for the best matcha food experience.
